AROUND THE WORLD IN SAND is the theme of the sand sculpture exhibition, that recreates typical everyday scenes, of individuals known to all of us, figures and scenarios of current pop culture, and the world of the fantastic that appeals to audiences of different generations, from children to adults.
There were several artists, national and international, who gave life to this vast set of more than 120 works of sand art.
Created through the compaction of millions of grains of sand, adding water to fill empty spaces, and subsequent drying, true works of art are erected that sometimes reach more than 5 or 6 meters in height and can weigh several tens of tons.
Its continued exposure to the sun makes them, over time, gain such a firm consistency that sometimes it confuses visitors to the point of questioning whether sand is the only component of the sculptures. A must to see, by day and by night
